This award recognizes a business that contributes to the Economic Growth and Quality of Life in Downtown Kennewick. This honoree had several nominations from the community and their fellow Downtown Kennewick Businesses as well. This honoree is a champion of Creativity and Community. They are a mentor to other business and are often the first to volunteer support for local charities. In her short time in our community this honoree has sparked abundant activity in Downtown Kennewick, even during our toughest covid recovery days. Her Pop-up markets, Counter hours, and presence at the Farmer’s Market has made her a business to visit in Downtown Kennewick. She is a is an incredible example of an inclusive, supportive business. With an energetic vitality and generous giving heart, Annelee Giese of Rise & Shine Bake Shop, puts her soul into her work. Which is made evident by her ability to curate delicious recipes that have us returning for more while selflessly creating donation opportunities for Non-profits such as Mikey’s Chance, or My Friends Place, and supporting fellow Downtown Kennewick Businesses and residients raising $1,600  with Cookies for a Cause for the Cascade Building Fire Victim Relief Fund. AnneLee has been running Rise & Shine Bake Shop as a commissary vendor at Red Mountain Kitchen since June of 2020.  Quick to engage and easy to befriend, Annlee continues her trend of creating events or activities, and even offering to stay open late to enhance the Downtown Kennewick experience for consumers. She is a prime example of a business that wants to see Downtown Kennewick thrive, and shows it with all the effort she puts into Downtown Kennewick. This year she has been the leading force behind our Summer Girl’s Weekend Experience set to run for 2 days this June. We in Downtown Kennewick appreciate businesses, such as Rise & Shine Bake Shop, that bring value and build community in our neighborhood.
