Downtown Kennewick has been changing since it began.  Every generation, every person leaves their mark and makes a change that takes it to its next stage. HDKP brings some of those people together to make those changes intentional. We welcome you to be one of them.

We are a part of the Main Street Program. The Main Street Approach is a philosophy, a program, and a proven comprehensive approach to commercial business district revitalization.  The approach is used in over 1600 cities across the nation and focuses on four volunteer-based integrated committees: Design, Economic Vitality, Outreach, and Promotion.

The Historic Downtown Kennewick Partnership (HDKP) is a volunteer-driven 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation aspiring to reflect our diverse community, providing an inclusive and vibrant downtown destination. The HDKP Board of Directors is made up of volunteers, who share a strong commitment to representing the membership and championing the growth and development of Downtown Kennewick.

November through early December is when we hold board member elections. The new directors elected will serve 3-year terms to begin in January. Members are a crucial part of this process as members directly elect our Board Members through an email ballot process.

*Washington State law does not require that meetings of a nonprofit corporation’s members or board of directors be open to the public. See RCW 24.03.075; RCW 24.03.120.
